Sunflower Oil Glycerin Soap

Ingredients
  • Non-hydrogenated soybean oil, 8 oz.
  • Water, 6 oz.
  • Coconut oil, 4 oz.
  • Sunflower oil, 4 oz.
  • Potassium hydroxide, 3 oz.
  • Glycerin, ½ cup
  • Essential oil (your choice of fragrance)
Directions

To make the base, mix water and potassium hydroxide in a bowl. In a pan, heat coconut oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil till it reaches 150ºF; make sure you're stirring the liquid continuously. Once the oils are at the desired temperature, you will add the water-hydroxide mix in. Keep stirring the ingredients so they don't separate from one another. Turn off the heat, and remove the pan from the stove. Let the mixture cool down a bit. In the end, add the glycerin and your choice of essential oil (amount of drops depend on how strong you want the fragrance to be). Keep stirring and check the consistency of the soap. If it's too thick, then add some more water. Once the soap is ready, pour it in a clean bottle with pump.

Chamomile Tea Glycerin Soap

Ingredients
  • Non-hydrogenated soybean oil, 8 oz.
  • Chamomile tea, 6 oz.
  • Almond oil, 4 oz.
  • Coconut oil, 4 oz.
  • Potassium hydroxide, 3 oz.
  • Glycerin, ½ cup
  • Essential oil (your choice of fragrance)
Directions

This next recipe is quite similar to the one mentioned above. The only difference is that we are using a strong chamomile herbal tea instead of water. You can also use mint tea or green tea as well. This will add that extra zing to the soap.

Honey Glycerin Soap

Ingredients
  • Castile soap, 1 bar
  • Water, 6 cups
  • Honey, 1 tablespoon
  • Glycerin, 1 teaspoon
Directions

First, boil a cup of water in a pot. Take the bar of soap and grate it in another bowl. In an electric blender, add the grated soap and the boiled water. Set to medium speed, and blend the ingredients properly. Now add 5 cups of room temperature water and glycerin in the blender, and turn it on again. In the end, you will add honey, and blend again. Pour the liquid into a clean bowl, and let it cool down. Once at room temperature, add few drops of essential oil, stir the liquid, and pour it in a clean bottle with pump.
