  • Clasps
  • Beading wire
  • Towel
  • Beads
  • Scissors
  • Bead tips
  • Pliers
  • Long straight pins
Instructions
You can either work by sitting on your bed, or use a table or even the floor as your work surface, but make sure that you put a towel on your work surface and then lay your beads when making any jewelry otherwise the beads will roll out. Also, the choice of beads is yours but stick to some basic medium-sized ones and go for simple shaped ones.
  1. The first step is to measure the wrist and add few extra inches to the length. If you wish to make a handmade beaded bracelet for your anklet then measure your ankle with the wire and add the few extra inches to its length.
  2. Now, on the towel lay down your beads in the pattern you want to start beading your bracelet. Make sure you plan the beads pattern well, as this will save a lot of redoing.
  3. For securing the ends of the bracelet you have to fix the clasps and the bead tips at the ends. So make a knot at one end of the wire and use the scissors to cut the excess wire. Now, place one bead tip from the unknotted end of the bead wire and again put the wire end through the bead tip to form a knot. To secure the bead tip put a little glue on the knot and let it dry; use flat-nose pliers and close the bead tip.
  4. Now, one by one start beading the beads in the wire, in the order you have decided.
  5. After you are done threading the beads, tie a loose knot at the other end of the wire, and use the pin to push the knot in the open end of the bead tip and trim out the excess thread.
  6. Fix a clasp piece in one bead tip and form a hook so that the loops at the ends can be joined. Use the pliers to close the rings and repeat the same process at the other end of the bracelet.
There are many other cool ways to make beaded bracelets, you can try out different types of beads, there are glass beads, plastic beads, metal beads, some beads are even made of organic material. Select the shapes, sizes, and colors of the beads appropriately and you can make various cool patterns. Clasps are most commonly used to make beaded bracelets, but there is one super quick beading method which can be done by using an elastic stringing thread. For this, string the beads, make a knot, and trim out the ends. So first try out the above simple method on making beaded bracelets, and then start creating bracelets with your own creative ideas!
